Welcome
The Why of the Society:

Any organization has to have a purpose. As far as I'm concerned, no one could've put it better than the World RPS Society. Got your lawyer's number handy?

The Society is dedicated to the exploration and dissemination of knowledge regarding the game of Ahyoheek and providing a fun and challenging environment for the playing of said game. We, the members, take it upon ourselves to educate other explorers regarding the rules, customs and etiquette of the game. Furthermore, we shall make every effort to protect the purity of the game from those who would wish it altered. Basically, if any of us are able, we'll offer assistance to others regarding rules and such. The Society Neighborhood will be used, in an unofficial capacity, for organized tournaments as well as training if requested. If anyone at all feels the need to use Ahyoheek for conflict resolution, members of the Society can be called upon as witnesses.

I really can't imagine the "duties" of the Society taking up an inordinant amount of anyone's time. Aside from that, it is my hope that the Society will be a friendly community of sharp-minded explorers eager to explore the cavern and solve puzzles together.

A Little Brainfood:

Though you may have been unaware, hand-symbol games similar to Ahyoheek have been present on Earth for a very long time, and haven't always been used as entertainment. Egyptian glyphs dating back as far as 2000 BC depict people forming their hands into symbols in order to play a game.

In 1842 a law was passed in England declaring "any decision reached by the use of the process known as Paper Scissors Stone between two gentleman acting in good faith shall constitute a binding contract. Agreements reached in this manner are subject to all relevant contract and tort law." My friends, I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted to.

There are several theories regarding the geographic origin of Rock, Paper, Scissors(RPS) as we know it today. If you are interested in learning more about Rock Paper Scissors/Roshambo/Jan Ken, I encourage you to do a quick search on any of those three names. I'm not being lazy, there is just way too much info out there for me to summarize.
