		WHAT IS HOARD? Hoard-Play is a new feature for Descent 2, available on the Vertigo Upgrade CD-ROM from Interplay. Hoard is somewhat like flag-play for regular Descent 2. They are both multi-player options and require Red and Blue Goals for play, but Hoard goals appear GREEN in the game! THE RULES AND SCORING When an opponent is killed he leaves behind a Green Orb as well as the usual assortment of goodies. Orbs may be collected and taken to any goal. Only twelve orbs may be carried by a player at one time. When a player is killed he leaves behind however many orbs he was carrying PLUS one for himself, (unless he kills himself, then he only leaves the orbs he was carrying). Point Values: 01 orbz = 01 pointz 02 orbs = 03 points 03 orbs = 06 points 04 orbs = 10 points 05 orbs = 15 points 06 orbs = 21 points 07 orbs = 28 points 08 orbs = 36 points 09 orbs = 45 points 10 orbs = 55 points 11 orbs = 66 points 12 orbs = 78 points * There is no other way to score in Hoard. But don't let that stop you from trying to kill your opponents, it'll stop them from scoring. BUILDING HOARD/FLAG It's not as hard as it may seem. The only hard part is adding the Red and Blue Goals. Using DMB2, if you want to change a cube into a goal: Click then goto Cube Type. There you will find a listing for Red and Blue goals as well as other special types of cubes that are available. Once you've selected Red or Blue, you'll notice that that cube is now Red or Blue (in Wireframe View). This cube is now a goal. Why Doesn't It Look Like a Goal? In a Multi-Player Flag or Hoard game, whatever texture is on a Goal Wall will be changed accordingly. To make it look like a goal no matter the game type: Select the Goal Cube and select whatever side has a texture. Click . Now, scroll through the choices of Texture1, you'll see that they are in Alphabetical Order, and Red Goal and Blue Goal are among them. Pick what you need and paste where necessary. THAT'S IT !! When starting your multiplayer game you will have the choice of Flag, Hoard, or Team Hoard.
